T1 Experimental Drawing and Mark Making
All Levels welcome - with Jane Barwell
Course Description
Wanting to try something different? This is a fun class experimenting with a range of drawing tools and materials exploring gestural mark making, collage and colour. This is a fun class which will allow you to loosen up and play. We will explore techniques for creating a wide range of pattern and marks using a variety of drawing media such as ink, charcoal, pastels and graphite. We will make our own drawing tools and explore gestural mark making with them. We will investigate the expressive qualities of drawing using music, and look at how to convey emotion through line quality and gesture. Over this eight week course we will each build a bank of techniques, test different materials, and complete two collage works created using our own mark making experiments.
