Course Description
The aim of the course is to introduce the student to the pleasures of art appreciation and art history in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We will examine different ways of looking at and appreciating art while considering aspects of Art History, with particular emphasis on Renaissance and 20th C Art. About your Tutor: Richard Gunning completed his BA at Curtin and post-grad studies at the Central School of Art and Design in London. He has had numerous solo exhibitions since 1984 and regular group shows. He is represented in all of the major collections of Western Australia including AGWA, UWA, Wesfarmers Collection and Holmes a Court Collection. Richard has been a tutor in Fine Art and Art History at many institutions including Curtin University, UWA, and Central TAFE, and has also travelled extensively. Terms and Conditions
A 20% administration fee applies to cancellations made before the beginning of the term. No refund will be given once the term has started. Participants in the term courses must be 18+ unless attending the After School or School Holiday workshops. Classes are not held on public holidays. Course start and finishing dates may vary due to public holidays and the availability of the course tutor. A full refund will only be given if a course is cancelled by the Tresillian Arts Centre. A refund will only be given if you have a medical certificate for the dates you have missed. No pro-rata payments are available for term courses or if classes are unattended by the student.
