Level: Intermediate to Advanced - with Jean-Louis Diaz
Course Description
This mixed media drawing class comprises of very loose, gestural acrylic washes with more specific detailing in charcoal and dry pastels on 300 gsm art papers. We will use a variety of subject matter – representational and semi-abstract. Drawing skills and experience recommended. About your Tutor: Jean-Louis is a practicing Visual Artist based in France and Australia. He holds a BA in Fine Arts (Painting major) 1980 Dip Teaching (Visual Art) 1978. He is Co-Director of Artelier Provence in France which offers Art retreats and workshops. He has held exhibitions in Australia and France and is represented in private collections in Australia, Europe and the USA. What to Bring: A good range of dry pastels (not oil pastels) and acrylic paints. Brushes. Small plastic containers for mixing paints. Wood and compressed charcoal sticks. A3 art paper 300 gsm (eg Canson Montval). Masking fluid. Fixative spray.

Terms and Conditions
A 20% administration fee applies to cancellations made before the beginning of the term. No refund will be given once the term has started. Participants in the term courses must be 18+ unless attending the After School or School Holiday workshops. Classes are not held on public holidays. Course start and finishing dates may vary due to public holidays and the availability of the course tutor. A full refund will only be given if a course is cancelled by the Tresillian Arts Centre. A refund will only be given if you have a medical certificate for the dates you have missed. No pro-rata payments are available for term courses or if classes are unattended by the student.
