Course Description
Learn how to maintain a sketchbook for your travels and daily outings, using watercolour, ink and pencils. Sketchbooking is a highly rewarding and effective way to catch a scene and record your experiences. It also helps you to train your eye and hand for the quick capture of the key elements in your visual landscape. About your Tutor: I have been sketching since 1977 and painting in watercolours and oils for the last 25 years. I am a Fellow of the Watercolour Society of Western Australia and a Member of the Western Australian Society of Arts. My passion for sketching started when hiking and ever since have captured my travels and excursions in ink, watercolours and pencil in sketch books. I am a watercolour artist and also paint s in oils. I am a Fellow of the Watercolour Society of Western Australia and a Member of the Western Australian Society of Arts. I have won awards at both of their Annual Exhibitions on numerous occasions and sold many paintings over the years. I have also delivered courses at the Melville Atwell gallery. Most of my painting is done outdoors with the Plein Air Painters Group. What to Bring: An A5 sketchbook, Permanent fine liners 0.3, 0.5, 0.8 and HB, B pencils soft eraser, Collapsible water container. Watercolour pan set or compact travel set of watercolours. BRUSHES – Soft Watercolour Brushes 1 – Medium Round size 6 or 8 water brush with water reservoir) Old towel for the art table

Terms and Conditions
A 20% administration fee applies to cancellations made before the beginning of the term. No refund will be given once the term has started. Participants in the term courses must be 18+ unless attending the After School or School Holiday workshops. Classes are not held on public holidays. Course start and finishing dates may vary due to public holidays and the availability of the course tutor. A full refund will only be given if a course is cancelled by the Tresillian Arts Centre. A refund will only be given if you have a medical certificate for the dates you have missed. No pro-rata payments are available for term courses or if classes are unattended by the student.
