Fiona works in three main areas: Still life, portraiture and seascapes. "I am a visual artist and teacher I work in a variety of media and teach in several different media as well. I trained as a large scale scenic artist in Perth and worked for many years here and in Melbourne as a mural and large scale painter. I love Western Australia and often travel in the Southwest of WA, a totally beautiful part of the world to gather reference material for my work. I am inspired to paint the ocean because of the sense of belonging to the Earth that it inspires. I love to paint portraits and to try to represent the emotion of the moment. I work in both pastel and paint. I work in three main areas: Still life, portraiture and seascapes. Each of these areas is a challenge and I love them all."
